How do I hang my fly curtain?

Hanging a fly curtain is not at all complicated, even for inexperienced DIY enthusiasts. Click on the link below to see the installation instructions for the individual curtain types:

How can I shorten my fly screen?

You can shorten some of our fly curtains, such as our plastic fly curtains and cattail fly curtains, yourself. It's easy to do with a pair of scissors. Hang up the curtain and leave it hanging for at least 24 hours so that the strings hang straight. Then cut the curtain to the desired length.

How do I store my flyscreen?

Fold the curtain carefully without twisting the threads. Then store it in a flat box or bag. One thing is very important: never twist the curtain in a bundle. If you do, the strands will become tangled and you run the risk of pulling the curtain apart when you want to take it apart again.

Do you have a fly curtain with a figure or pattern? Then thread a string through the top hooks. This way you can take it down in one go and don't have to take the pattern out again when you hang up the curtain.

How do I clean my flyscreen?

Small stains and dust are best removed with mild soapy water. With cattail curtains, make sure that your cleaning cloth is not too wet. Time for a big clean? Your fly curtain can also be washed in the washing machine.

Remove the curtain from the hanging rail and divide it into two parts. Place flannels around the end hooks of the two parts to protect them. Then place the curtain in a laundry bag or pillowcase. Make sure you tie the pillowcase, e.g. with a ribbon. Then wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.

The tip for fly curtains with print also applies here: thread a cord through the upper hooks so that you do not have to rearrange the curtain threads.
